Headwear

  • Brimmed Hat or Sun Cap for sun protection

  • Bandana or headscarf, useful for protection against dust and cold 

  • Knit Hat, for warmth

  • Buff/Neck Gaiter

  • Balaclava 

  • Sunglasses or Goggles

 

Bodywear

  • Long Polypropylene Sleeve Shirt, moisture-wicking fabric

  • Short Polypropylene Sleeve Shirt, moisture-wicking fabric

  • Lightweight thermal tops

  • Fleece wind-stopper jacket or pullover

  • Lightweight Jacket, fleece, or soft-shell

  • 1 – Down jacket (Puffer Jacket)*

  • Waterproof jacket with hood, waterproof and breathable

  • Sports Bra (women)

  • Comfortable, breathable loose clothing for day excursions and Tiik sessions

 

Bodywear – beneath the torso

  • Waterproof Hiking Pants, breathable (side zipper recommended)

  • Hiking shorts, advised for use on sunny days

  • Light thermal trouser, moisture-wicking fabric

  • Underwear, moisture-wicking fabric

 

Handwear

  • Gloves, light (wool or fleece recommended)

 

Footwear

  • Shoes, trainers or running

  • Socks, thin & light

  • Socks, synthetic or wool

  • Cotton socks (optional)

 

Trekking Equipment

  • Fleece sleeping bag liner (optional)

  • Daypack/Backpack, 30L-35L, for your carry

  • Day Backpack Cover, for protection, waterproof (optional)​

Toiletries

  • Medium-sized quick-drying towel – A small sports towel that is quick-drying is recommended

  • Toothbrush/paste (preferably bio-degradable)

  • Multi-purpose soap (preferably bio-degradable)

  • Deodorants

  • Nail clippers (optional)

  • Female hygiene items

  • Small mirror (optional)

  • Sunscreen 

  • Mosquito spray/cream

  • Unscented lotions and creams for face and body (to avoid attraction of bugs)

  • Some cash in local currency (and or USD - easier to exchange) to buy souvenirs during the experience

  • Altitude tablets (optional)

  • Yoga mat (please note you may also be able to purchase something cool whilst in Nepal)

FAQ'S

Which airport do I fly into?

All international flights are to Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu.

Do I need a Visa?

To travel to Nepal as a tourist you will need the relevant VISA. You can obtain this easily upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport paying with USD in cash, however, it is also advised to check your countries government website to check your VISA and entry requirements. 

What currency do the Nepalese use?

Nepalese Rupee. Please note, for all card payments there will be

a charge of around 3.5%.

Are there additional charges? 

Be mindful of credit card use in Nepal as there is a surcharge of usually between 3.5 - 5%. Any personal items purchased during the retreat.

What is your refund and/or cancellation policy?

We have no refund policy, if you need to cancel you can reschedule the retreat and/or use your credit towards another retreat. If you want to pay your retreat forward to a third party we welcome this exchange. For more information, please see our Terms and Conditions here.
